The referral window closes on September 12, 2025. This applies to:
● All Kindergarten and 2nd grade students(unless parents opt out of screening)
● Elementary students scoring Masters Grade Level on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) who are not already identified as G/T;
● Elementary students scoring in the 85th percentile or higher on the MAP assessment who are not already identified as G/T;
● Elementary Emergent Bilingual students enrolled in two-way Dual Language who are not already identified as G/T; and
● Any referral made by teachers, counselors, parents, or other interested persons of K-11 students who are not already identified as G/T.
